What kind of clay do you use?  Low fire earthenware clay. This clay is bisque fired to about 1800 degrees F, glazed, and fired again to about 2200 degrees F

Are the glazes food safe? Most of the glazes in the studio are food safe. I make sure to use only food safe glazes on the inside surface of my work that is meant to be used for eating and drinking.

Can I put my new piece in the dishwasher and microwave? Yes, it is dishwasher and microwave safe.

Can I put my new piece in the oven or on the stove top? No, it is not safe to use this piece in the oven or on the stove top. This is due to the uneven nature of how the piece will heat up and put the piece at higher risk for cracking and breaking
